Program Evaluation and Validation

With increased scrutiny and questions about forensic nursing practice coming from communities and courtrooms daily, it is important for forensic nursing programs to have a method by which to evaluate and validate the practice. NFNI's forensic nurse consultants come onsite to evaluate forensic nursing programs based on the standards of care developed by the International Association of Forensic Nurses and other current practice standards specific to the programs practice area. NFNI will then provide feedback as to whether the program does or does not meet standards and provide recommendations to improve care provided to patients with interpersonal violence issues.
